What is a Fire Department NOC?
A Fire Department No Objection Certificate (NOC) is an official document issued by the local Fire and Emergency Services Department. It certifies that a building, commercial establishment, or industrial premises adheres to the prescribed fire safety norms and has adequate fire prevention and firefighting measures in place as per the National Building Code of India and relevant state Fire Acts and Rules.
Land Development Rules, 2012
The Urban Local Bodies under the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 are responsible for the fire services. Under the provision in Land Development Act of the State Government, the buildings having a height of 12.5 meters or more should install the fire-fighting system as prescribed in the National Building Court rules.
Documents Required
The following documents should be enclosed with the application form to obtain Fire NOC for Madhya Pradesh Fire License.
- Two sets of fire plans, elevation plan, and section plan of the building.
- Photocopy of ownership title (Lease/Conveyance/Sale Deed or Khasra, etc.) 3. Approved layout plan and order copy for each floor by the competent authority.
- Approved building plan & order / copy of Gram Panchayat NOC.
- Service plan & parking and circulation plan.
- Check List (53 Points) certified by the fire consultant and the applicant.
- Qualification certificate of fire consultant if not mentioned on the Department website
Application Procedure
To apply online, visit the official website of e-Nagar Palika. Under the Citizen Services tab on the Home page, click Fire Services, then ‘Online Form-Fire NOC.
The online application form for the Provisional Fire NOC appears. Enter the required details that include the following. • General details • Applicant Address Details • Applicant Property Details • Type Of Occupancy • Upload documents area (the documents should be in pdf format) • Update the Checklist (53 points)
Click continue that redirects to the payment gateway. Make necessary payment submit the online form.
On successful submission of the application form, a registration number will be generated by the system. Make a note of it for future use.
The technical committee will examine the application and the documents. The designated inspectors will inspect the premises by visiting the site.
Based on the report, if the committee approves the request, the provisional NOC is issued on the permission of the Fire Authority (FA). On rejection of the request, the applicant will be intimated, and the reason for the disapproval will be communicated.
